What's New This Winter?

Changes Meant to Keep You Safe

Things will be looking a little bit different this winter here at Nowhere Special. While we'll be just as fun as ever and just as close to one of the best ski resorts in North America, we'll be implementing some new protocol that are designed to provide you, your family, and friends, a safe and comfortable environment. We're making sure this new modern hostel experience is one that you can rely on. We'll take care of the work, so you take care of the fun.

See below the protocol we'll be implementing this winter!

VACCINATION POLICY- As per HI Hostel Recommendations

To ensure the safety of our travellers and staff, we require proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Upon arrival, you'll be asked to show the required documentation at check-in. We are unable to accommodate travellers who fail to provide adequate documentation.

British Columbia Travellers: Please show your BC Vaccine Card in either printed or digital form.
Out-of-province Travellers: Official proof of vaccination provided by your provincial government, along with photo ID.
International Travellers: The official proof of vaccination you used to enter Canada along with passport.

We're reducing our max capacity at the hostel to just 50% this winter. Beds will be available in shared dorms however there will be a max occupancy of 4 people per 8 person dorm. We're providing a 4 person private dorm with private washroom for just $175/night. Included are 20% off lift tickets as well!

Masks will be mandatory inside the hostel and can be removed when you enter your room or when you sit down to eat.

Electrostatic cleaning will be done twice per day in common areas and once in the room prior to arrival. Staff will not enter anyone's room while they are staying at the hostel.

Your favourite playground, just a 2-minute walk away, also will be making changes necessary to provide you the safest experience while on the mountain and at the base lodge.

From added sanitation stations and mask requirements, to reduced facility capacities and new to-go stations, online ordering, and reservation options available for dining, we want to make sure you plan your trip accordingly for the best experience possible.
